Scientific Answers & Solutions, (SAS) was founded by Dr. Ruben Reininger in 1998.


Dr. Reininger has over twenty five years of professional experience at several international synchrotron radiation centers as a scientist, instrumentation developer, and instrumentation group leader.


SAS has designed over 21 beamlines for IR, VUV, soft x-rays, and x-rays for synchrotron radiation centers and free electron lasers around the world. We have also provided advice and reviewed several beamlines and optical instruments at synchrotron centers in the US and Europe. 

SAS specializes in:

Software Development

SRCalc: Software package for calculating and displaying most of the functions needed in SR beamline design.
